DESCRIPTION:Lucy Ward Dog Training hosts Jenny Richards from Deliverance Dogs for her Obedience Workshop. \nWho is the workshop for?\nAnyone! Work with Jenny on any obedience exercise from foundations to more advanced work from any sport. Exercises such as heel work\, impulse control\, retrieves\, send aways\, completion prep and much more. Whether you’ve worked on obedience with your dog before and need some help getting to the next level\, or are a complete novice\, you’re welcome to come along and learn at this friendly relaxed workshop. \nDogs are worked one at a time so reactive dogs are very welcome. You can come along as a handler and work your dog\, or as a spectator to learn from observing. \nPlease note – as dogs are worked one at a time\, your dog will need to rest in your vehicle in the secure car park when it’s not their turn. You’re very welcome to bring someone along to sit with them\, or wait with them yourself. \nHow old does my dog need to be?\nAny age\, from newly vaccinated puppies up to golden oldies. There is no lower or upper age limit. Jenny can adjust the training to any age and ability level. \nAbout Jenny\nJenny’s approach is based on bringing relationship and play into training. She believes it should be the foundation for ALL dog sport training. Her main reason for taking part in dog sport is to strengthen this relationship. It is important to make sure we are actively using this approach in our sport training. \nJenny competed to the top of Working Trials with her Australian Shepherd\, Alf. He was also the first Aussie ever to qualify IGP 1 in England. With her Malinois Del she recently qualified at the FMBB World Championships. They were the second ever team from England to have achieved a qualifying score at this competition. They also came 33rd out of over 100 dogs. The pair then competed at the FCI World Championships where they also had a good trial and earned a qualifying score. She also has 3 youngsters. Do you know how to check your dogs’ pulse and what their ‘normal’ is? Need to brush up on your canine first aid skills for work? Would you know how to give a dog CPR? \nJoin qualified vet nurse Jos Lander of Fundog Behaviour and Training\, hosted by Lucy Ward Dog Training for a four hour canine first aid course. With a mix of practical work and presentations\, you’ll learn vital skills to help you in an emergency with your dog\, or dogs in your care. \nYou’ll be come away with confidence and knowledge in some new skills\, a full set of notes for the course and a certificate of completion.
